With their debut, Cascine-released album Yoncalla just round the corner on 27 May, Yumi Zouma have shared a new taste of the LP. Described by band member Josh Burgess as "the first song that was really collaborative for us", 'Barricade (Matter Of Fact)' glides along with a gentle subtlety and poise that somehow feels as cooling as it does entirely heart-warming. Christie Simpson's effortless whisper calls beautifully above building, hypnotic layers of synths, clicking percussion and guitar in a recipe for brilliantly infectious dream pop.
